'ail Throndin, that was a mighty fine display. Where did ye learn such moves?
Throndin turned and saw Barek walked up to him. Removing his helm and wipping the sweat of his brow, he gave a toothed grin and said,Hiya Barek, my father....started me off and I've found my own way. I was brought to the barracks not long after I was born, because he is in charge during seiges, and wanted to show troops that even the youngest dwarfs can defend their home, so I was training as soon as I could walk.
Lots of the longbeards have taught me tricks and helped me on my way, but I still have lots to learn. So what brings you to my second home?

Barek gave a disdainful grunt before a slight laugh, Ach well ye teacher seemed to 'ave earned 'imself some enemies among the manling merchants. After I left the tavern I 'eard a fight breakout in the bazaar. Group of manlings tried to kill Lokri. I intervened and we were able to kill the entire group. 'elped Lokri to the Templ o' Valaya and 'e sent me 'ere to check up on 'is class and inform 'is Clan of the attack. Tho i dont see the class anywere.

Suddenly, as if on cue, the Spangelhelm apprentises came into the baracks singing a merry old tune, they had by the looks of it, had a few, but of course they knew well enough not to over drink since Lokri would give them a roasting. (even though they often thought he was tipsy himself)
Bjarni, Snadri, Flakki, Thrundi, and the now fully awake Draki strolled forth as if they hadn't a care in the world. Since Lokri was nowhere to be seen, they headed over to this Throndin character since earlier he had been training with them, and the last time they saw Lokri he had been accompanied by this dwarf.
Snadri came forth, with a dwarfen grin only found on beardlings to young to understand the difficulties of their race. "Afta'noon? Were's Lokri got to eh? He sposed be teaching us a lesson on combat fore another two hours?" "Not drunk again is he!" said one of the beardlings with an over merry tongue...

Barek gave a raised eyebrow to the students as they approached. He gave a small grin that was hidden behind his beard when he remembered he was so young.
Barek gave a loud grunt to catch the attention of the beardlings. A few whispers passed threw the group as to who this dwarf was and what he was doing here and were Master Lokri was. Well this must be tha class Lokri told aboot. Ach bloody 'ell, looks like barely any of ye could hold up agaisnt a gobbo one o' one.
this quickly got the attention of the class and one of the young'uns stepped forth, And who be ye good dwarf? And where is Master Loki? He is to be teaching us today.
Ach whats your nam lad?
Snadri! he said as if Barek was supposed to know it.
Well....Snadri....do ye fancy that ye could beat a full grown orc in single combat? Or in your case a grobbi? Bah I think one night on the front lines and ye would be crying to come 'ome to ye mother!
Barek turned suddenly to the rest of the class. Well it turns out ye Master Loki came under some bad luck. 'e will not be 'ere to finish teaching the class, so 'e asked me to look into it for 'im.......Me name is Barek Thorgison, and I will be teaching ye what it takes to survive and win when your oppenent is right in ye face.

Snadri frowned at this remark, but bit his lip to avoid being disrespectfull, Flakki above all kept silent and motionless, due to his punishment from Lokri earlier.
"Am no coward Barek sir, just give me a chance an' a will prove it to all who will watch!"
The beardling's looked on at this dwarf and eyed him up, his voice had a southern twang, indicating he had spent time in Kharaz Ankor. Obviously there was a slight hesitation at who this dwarf was to come here, insult them, and tell them their cousin had been jumped, and that he was to teach them their lesson in Lokri's stead.
However, due to the fact Lokri was constantly bawling at them, they didn't take offense, and due to the dwarfs beard, they avoided any questions of the old dwarfs authority.
So, quickly and quietly the young lads placed their trappings on the floor and walked to collect the training equipment. Within a moment or two, Barek had a band of slightly rag tag, but eager pupils before him. (as well as Throndin to his side)

Throndin spat, as the dwarfen class went to collect their training equipment.
Bloody youngens no respect. This one wants a test of his metal, if you don't mind I'll take him down a few pegs. Throndin said to Barek, as the class picked up training weapons, shields and pads.
Though he was about a similar age to those in the class his mind for training was beyond his years, he still had the youngs egerness for combat and little knowledge of open war, but he his heart bore him to the level of many of the great dwarfen generals.

Ach this is 'ow ye will be trainning. Each of ye will be matched up with a partner. First one to knock the other to the ground wins. Simple as that. 'owever if ye lose ye will 'ave to run a lap around the barracks. Throndin ye will be paired up with.....Snadri.
Then ye and ye. Barek said pointing to Bjarni and Flakki.
And ye two will also be oppenents., barek said gesturing to Thrundi and Draki.
As the class moved to give them selfs wider berths and readied their wodden weapons Barek gave out a grunt. Now who said ye would be using those twigs? Ye 'avnt proved that ye can use those properly. These fights will be bareknuckle fights. Once ye know 'ow to use ye fists properly ye mite be allowed to use those. At the end of this training there will be a 'surprise'.

The dwarfs begrudgingly placed their axes and shields on the rack from which they had taken them. The young dwarfs eagerly awaited combat, and upon Barek's signal, began to spar with each other. Potentially, many of the dwarfs could be great, indeed Draki seemed to be unnaturally strong, however it soon became clear to Barek that most of the dwarfs hadn't fought bare knuckle before. Draki and Thrundi were a well matched pair, with both of them throwing strong punches and most of the time able to retrieve their guard after it. Flakki and Bjarni were pretty terrible, neither of them had the right footwork, posture, or guard to best the other.... ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Snadri vs ThrondinSnadri, apprentice engineer M-3 WS-41 BS-25 S-3 T-4 W-7 I-20 A-1 Dex-44 Ld-56 Int-29 Cl-56 WP-66 Fel-24 Skills: Strike Mighty Blow, Battle Tongue (unarmed -20WS, -2 Damage) Throndin M;3 WS;60**'' BS;20 S;3' T;4' W;9**'''' I;34*' A;2*' Dex;45* LD;42 Int;40* Cl;76** WP;47 Fel;30 street fighter skill, counts as using improvised weapon, -10WS -2dp -10I ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Round 1,Throndin strikes first:2 hits, 1 to head:(1+3+1-2-4) 0 wounds 1 to body: (5+4-6)= 3 wounds to body Snadri returns a blow:Misses Round 2,Throndin1 hit, to left arm (1+4-6) 0 wounds Snadri1 hit, failed dodge, right leg (5+4-6)= 3 wounds to Throndin's leg Round 3, Throndin1hit, to head, (4+4-6)= 2 wounds to Snadri's face SnadriMisses Round 4,Throndin 2 misses (85+96 unlucky ) Snadri1 hit, to body, failed dodge, (2+4-6) 0 wounds Round 5,Throndin2 hits, body (4+4-6)=2 wounds (4+4-6)=2 wounds 4 wounds to body. Bjarni had overcome Flakki in an univentfull match, however Draki and Thrundi's bout was a well balanced brawl, with Draki's strength in the end leading him to victory. It appeared Draki and Throndin were the best fighters here...

Barek observed the fights wiht a keen eye picking out the problems and mistakes in each of the younglings fighting style. As the fight between Draki and Thrundi came to a close Barek came over to the heavily breathing group. Ach tis a sorry bunch 'ere ah see.....Throndin ye did the best along with ye draki. The rest of ye are a sorry lot and ye best be goin on those laps now.
Barek knew that the ones who had lost their fight would be tired and bruised but if they didnt learn at a young age to fight and move while hurt and injured they would never make it threw the rigors of war.
Barek turned to the two students that had done the best. Now ye two let me explain something. Ye two's regiment just defeated another regiement in combat, ye are are bloodyied but not broken. 'owever the battle is not over yet....Do ye think the enemy will wait for ye to bandage up and 'ave a drink? I think not....Now ye are faced with yet another unit out for your blood.
With this Barek shed his gear and stripped his armor off from the waste up. He stood in front of the two dwarfs with his heavily musceled chest baring a giant X across it.
Ye are faced against a fresh enemy...Ye can only rely on ye self and the dwarf standing besides ye...will ye break or perservere?
Barek set himself into a low fighting stance his feet spread wide and his right arm up and his left arm readied right below his chin in a guard stance.
(ooc: as this fight involves PvP ill let a Gm roll it up)

Right. Before I roll this up, mind posting a little information for me? Each person involved write down their character's name, how many wounds they currently have, what weapons they are fighting with, and when reduced to what amount of wounds that they will quit?
Example:
Leopold the Redshirt: 4 wounds left. Fighting with a rusty dagger and a mithril fork. Will always parry with the fork. When reduced to 0 wounds he will quit.
vs.
Ogrim the Ogre: 21 wounds left. Fighting with a greatsword. Will never parry. Will quit when reduced to 0 wounds.

These fights will be bareknuckle fights. Once ye know 'ow to use ye fists properly ye mite be allowed to use those. At the end of this training there will be a 'surprise'. Throndin squared up to Snardi, and raised himself onto the balls of his feet which were spread apart his left leg leading. His arms drifted around his body, fists ready but unclenched. The two didn't square of for long, Throndin's fist flew out and back landing a quick punch to Snardi's face, as he recoiled from the shock Throndin landed a heavy blow in his side. Pressing his attack he let loose another blow into Snrdi's arm forcing him to the floor. to regain his standing he landed a heavy blow into the side of Throndin's expossed knee, slightly crippling him, and forcing him to one knee. Using the momentum of his jump up, he caught Snardi a good blow to the chin, forcing him back but still on his feet. Confidence brimded in Throndin and his next punches were easily blocked, this lead him open for a punch in his stomach, luckily he managed to deflect the force of the blow buy tensing his stomach muscles in the last instant. Anger at himself loomed and he let fly with another flurry of blows, spreading his arms high over his shoulders he lent into his attack and brought them boh back down to Snardi's sides. Snardi the breath kncoked out of him wheezed and fell to the floor, where he stood on all fours panting and occasionally spitting blood. Throndin stood over Snardi and in a low tone spoke saying, learn respect....boy. He noticed Barek walking into the ring and turned to meet him. Ach tis a sorry bunch 'ere ah see.....Throndin ye did the best along with ye draki. The rest of ye are a sorry lot and ye best be goin on those laps now.
Ha! Any scum wanting my blood will have to take it bit by bit before I'll back down. Throndin called back to Barek, he had enjoyed the fight and the rage was coming upon him and the thurst for more. Ye are faced against a fresh enemy...Ye can only rely on ye self and the dwarf standing besides ye...will ye break or perservere?
Throndin looked towards Draki, nodded and turned his attention back to Barek and assumed his own ready stance. C'mon Draki.. Throndin said to him without taking his eyes off Barek, Let us not be the rocks, but release the force of the mountain.ooc; Throndin Ironbeard, 6 wounds remaining, fighting bare knuckled, but with the streetfighter skill. See Kadrik's post above. Will fight till can't anymore, so prob after first hit on critical chart. Draki(err ask Kadrik about this guy, its his class)

Draki nodded slowly to Throndin, a wry smile growing on his face as he saw his new chalange. The others were all hobbling around the baracks in a rather amusing manner with their bruises fresh about them.
