As you arrive in the deepest part of Garinton, and the houses become ever more opulant and grand, being the abodes of nobles and palace guard(whom have a status akin to nobles), you notice the well paved street becomes a winding path leading up the hill and to the mass gates the only point of entry into palace grounds.
Day: While the sun still shines the gates to Caldath's abode remain open and are guarded not only by a regiment of halbediers but the fearsome ogre known as Glub the Smacker. Would be visitors should have a rather good reason for dropping by, because rumour has it, that Glub being rather clever for an ogre, has pretended on more than one occassion that unwelcomed guests were about to attack before bashing their skulls in(and returning to his hut by the gate to cook his next meal).
Night: At sunset the gates close and are garrisoned by a regiment of crossbowmen, they won't open for any one except those who live with in the grounds, those who persist on trying to gain entry will be shot.
