Consisting of a large dwarf built converted manor house, the Kazad Dawr embassy was constructed by dwarfs, with humans in mind.
The house is built for the most part on one floor, with a sprawling complex with a east and west wing and a central reception area in which guests can rest in great comfort. The grounds are surrounded by well made brick walls and decorated with steel trellises which are covered in vines and flowers. In addition the back and front have four small gardens, separated by large paved patios at the back and a well maintained marble path into the embassy.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
On both wings there are three levels, a submerged lower level for the servants and workers of the embassy. This level has windows facing up wards, so that the light from above can pass through.
On the second level are a series of offices, studies, record libraries and basically all the things necessary for the day to day life in diplomacy. These rooms are constantly bustling with the humans who maintain the paperwork system. In addition to this there is a kitchens at the far end of the east and west wing.
On the first floor of the wings are the guest rooms for the ambassadors entourage. These are large, well maintained rooms with a great view of the grounds and surrounding area. The master bedrooms (of invaluable quality) are found toward the center of the complex, with the other rooms sprawling out wards designed for the ambassadors entourage, and therefore ever so slightly less grand.
The dwarf ambassador, Magnund Jorgenson Sheildcleaver, and many of his clan have master bedrooms on the upper floor.
All three levels are connected by a spiral staircase at the far end of each wing, as well as a set of fine stairs found in the reception area of the complex.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
The central area of the complex is a large, well lit cubic shaped hall, which has large, grand white doors, and opens out into a beautifully prepared reception area.
There is a large desk with two humans taking names, with walls on either side, and besides the walls are two great staircases leading on to the first floor.
The dwarfs who constructed the building, couldn't help but give it a large and substantial cellar system, part of which later became the perfect place for heated discussions away from intrusive eyes and ears, the rest is used for stowing the massive amount of food needed to feed the staff and entertain the guests.
The Negotiation room accessed through a secret door in the top floor of the reception area. It is only accessible to the dwarfs of the embassy and those whom they give leave to enter. The dwarfs have sworn oaths to become slayers should they ever speak a word of what is decided within this room.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
In addition to this, the ambassador of Kazad Dawr the magnanimous, decided to have a series of dwarf's rooms converted in the cellars,
because dwarfs don't like to sleep above ground.
This way they can entertain their guests to the best of their ability, and sleep ever so soundly at night.
The embassy has a large armory in the lower levels, and all the male servants are trained to defend it should such a task was required.
