Lokri came into the Blackhammer clan area, heading straight for the forge from where he would by his tankard. He needed a tankard, because as part of the initiation ceremony for a engineer, he would replace his clay mug for a iron tankard, and henceforth would be permitted to family business meetings and discussions as well as being respected, free from the stigma of being an unproven apprentise.
Needless to say, Lokri was rather eager to buy himself his tankard, and came up to the counter with a glimmer in his eye. Grar Blackhammer looked at him with more than a glimmer of suspicion at why the dwarf seemed so optimistic.
"Err, an what can a do for you then?"
"Can a have a look at yer tankards please, I wantae pick one that nay one else has ye see."
Grar looked at him with even more distaste,
"If ye want a personalized tankard, ye will have to fill out a form an tell us what ye want on it."
"No no no! I mean any of the others in my clan elders, I caught a glance before and I reckon I know which one to get." Lokri said in annoyance, his mood lowered and his business voice returning.
"Oh, I see, well just a moment an I'll get em for you then." Grar said, walking off grumbling that it was only a bloody tankard and he didn't see why it had to be different. Yet he returned with the first four.
"Any o these the right one?" Grar inquired.
"Nar mate, they have got them, any more?" Grar grabbed them again, and this time did not grumble, which was probably worse. (usually it meant he was thinking something he would not say)
He came back, and this time he had a scowl on his face like a troll liking wee off a nettle.
"What aboot these then?" He came with a new selection of very similar but slightly different variations on the tankards he had brought out previously.
"Aye that one there with the hinge lid." Lokri said, pointing at one in the middle that looked like it could be sealed when full so it could work like a flask. Grar smiled a half hearted smile, and then signaled for the hand over of money. Lokri happily paid the money, and grasped his new tankard with a smile.
Now he was off to the initiation ceremony.
