The two dwarfs, battered and bruised from Barek's tutoring in the ways of battle, wandered through the many many tunnels of the clan homes, trying to find the door with the sign of the Spangelhelms above it...

As it was Throndin, who was now leading the duo, he set his pace as casual but determined. He thurst at Barek question after question about his adventures an his skills of combat and where he learned them, and with each answer sprung forth more questions.
Throndin, knew his way around the clan homes quite well, he knew several "short-cuts" and side passages that could be used preventing attacks and cornoring invaders of the hold, and it wasn't to long before they were outside the solid struture of the Spangelhelm's home. Throndin noticed that Barek was surprised by the fact that the front of the house looked more like the enterance to a shop more than anything else, except that the door was firmly closed.
'Ere we are Barek, you want to knock or do you want me to?

The two dwarfs came upon the entrance to the Spangelhelm Clan homes, which housed half the clan to be found in Kazad Dawr, with the other half residing in the quarry.
Two strong grey pillars each with a dwarf mattok engraved at the top, and a large doorbeam, which was carved into the shape of a shining helmet, with eagle wings surounding it, and working as a background. Along the sides of the wall was engraved the motif of crossbows symbol and quarrels. Inside there was sound of commotion, which sounded like hammering.

Throndin and Barek gazed appriectively upon the elaborate stoneworking as they approached the doors to the Spanglehelm family.
'Ere we are Barek, you want to knock or do you want me to? With out hesitation Barek strode to the door and commenced with pounding his meaty fist onto the doors to the chambers, trying to drown out the sounds of smithing inside.
Ach call it a 'unch lad but I think someone may be 'ome.
He said with a broad smile before letting out a gruff laugh.

[ooc: silly me, I forgot to wright about the door bell!] Barek's fist pounded heavily on the stone door, a lesser being might have flinched upon the sturdy portal, but Bareks club-like fists were unscathed.
For a moment, the sounds of work stopped, and a muffled shout came through the stonework. The hammering recomenced, and then suddenly there was a great sound of creaking and cogs turning as the stone door slowly came forward, and then the two slabs came outwards, on great iron hinges.
A old dwarf, probarbly a clan elder came to the door, with a suprised look on his face as he looked at the two dwarfs standing on the doorstep through his crystal monocle. He waited for the dwarfs to introduce themselves, before becoming impatient, (though he did not show it) "Errr, hallo there ma boy's, how can a help ye? If your here for the crossbows they won't be done fer untill tomorow as agreed."" Said the dwarf in a slow business manner...

Ach 'alloe good dwarf, Me name is Barek Thorgison, and I bring ye word of ye's kin, Lokri Spanglehelm.
Barek gave a slight bow due to the dwarf being of much greater age then himself.
This is me comrade Throndin Ironbeard, 'e is also studying under ye kin Lokri.
Barfek said while gesturing to Throndin, and giving him a hidden quick shot to the ribs.

ooc; sorry not been posting but between work women and uni, scarifices had to be made.
IC;Throndin looked at the old dwarf truely his beard was a magnificent site, he it was knotted in many differnt places and even then still trailed slightly on the floor. He was brought back from his quite obvious staring by a sharp elbow to the ribs, and quickly followed bareks example of bowing and removing his helm. This is me comrade Throndin Ironbeard, 'e is also studying under ye kin Lokri.
At your service, sir, may your beard never grow thin. Throndin said remembering his manners.

"Oh ye do, do ye? I wis wonderin' where he had gotten to, he usualy returns to pick up the lads after midday. It's not like Lokri to change his habits, so I presume ye lads had better come inside?"
The old dwarf said with a stern look on his face, he signalled for the others to follow him into the clan home, of which the front room was a fairly large room filled with over twenty dwarfs of varying ages working on, or supervising the construction of bows, longbows and fantastic dwarf crossbows.
As they passed through, the old dwarf who wore blue robes and wore many trinkets showing his rank, ushered them into his office, which consisted of three small stools, set before a great untidy desk covered with bags of gold, and lots of paper. The walls where racked with crossbows.
"Shut the door on ye way in, I am Tarrik Spangelhelm, I think ye had better explain exactly what Lokri has gotten himself into this time." The old dwarf said with expectation on his face.

Ach, good elder. I 'ad met Lokri while I was staying at the tavern after I arrived to ye's great 'old. Twas when I met Throndin too. We talked for a bit and I left the Tavern and wandered around the Bazar, then I 'eard something, sounded like a fight so I rushed over, me sixth sense tingled ike crazy, I came upon a scene of death as Lokri was being surrounded by some manlings, I rushed two of 'em and took em both out quick before they could respond and ranked up with Lokri. The rest of the manlings fled before us but we caught 'em and dispatched 'em before the guard could arrive. Lokri wasnt in good condition so I 'elped 'im down to the Temple, 'e mentioned they were Tilean Merchants he was competeing with. finished gruffly while casting an apprasing eye around the rom before settling on the old dwarf.

The old dwarf listened intently to Bareks description. When he heard of the fight, at first his face grew angry, his great bushy brows being drawn together by in distaste. Then after this moment, his face returned back to his dour normality, and he shook his head. "Aye, it doesn't suprise me that boy has got himself into trouble! Them Tilean's are a hot headed lot, and Lokri is jus' the right lad to rub them up the wrong way. But if they are as you say, all dead, then at least some recompence can be found in that."
The old dwarf said, and as he spoke, he rose to his feet and turned his back to the other dwarfs as he drew out the clan book of grudges. He drew out a silver pen then looked back up to the younger dwarfs.
"Ye have done us a great favour in saving his life Barek Thogrison, I assume that you are of some relation to the Great Slayer? And you Throndin, tis good to see that the future of the hold is in good hands."
The dwarf put away his grudge book, and then wearily returned to his seat, groaning as he put strain on his back.
"Ye are both welcome to stay as guests in here whenever ye need our aid, for we are indebted to ye for your aid. I will have rooms made available if ye will stay?"
The old dwarf said without looking at the two dwarfs sat before him. Indeed with such a gesture of hospitality, it would be rude to decline.

As the dwarf spoke Throndin sat and let his eyes wander around the room, but kept his ears fixed on what the old dwarf was saying. He turned back to face him when he was addressed and inclined his head slightly in recognition of the complement. But at the elder dwarfs invitation it was an uneasy choice to be made, though time was closing on the day. It was now throndin to voice his thoughts.
Master Elder, you indeed show Barek and I a large and generous offer, and on behalf of my father I accept the offer for aid when it is needed and indeed offer it in return, but as to staying in your home I must decline. I have earned no right myself and played no part with your kinsmen and Barek here. But if you would allow me to perform something for you to make mself worthy of your offer. Throndin paused trying to gather what he could from the old dwarfs counterance. He was not so well taught in dealings with other clans but was trying his best, and attempted a risk that would hopefully pay off. I, sir noticed that you are in some pain, if you would allow me to do it, I would ask my mother to give me something for you to help ease it. It is not much but it's what I am able to offer.

The elder nodded solemly, "Aye well I cannot force ye to stay, indeed Throndin I am sure both of you have much to attend to. But then at least I owe you a drink, that is customery. What of you Barek? Can I look forward to your company?"

Tarrik's old face lit up again once more as Barek agreed to accept his hospitality, then when he heard that Barek was after information, he could not contain his glee. (Nothing exites an old dwarf more than a chance to tell a few stories)
The dwarf, regardless of the slightly morrose topic of Barek's deceased relative, arose to his feet and called for ale to be readied. In his non too well contained vigour, he lost his usual buisiness manner and spoke with the same rhyth and twang of Lokri.
"Good show Barek! As for repayin' me ther's nay need since the clan is a'ready indebted tae ye for saving Orodrik's son! ALE! We must have ale! follow me ma lads, I will gather the elders and we will give you all the information we know of your uncle!"
