For a few years Nalim was a rising star in the hold of Kazad Dawr. He rose quickly to become the head of the hammerers, and it looked like he would rise further still. That was until he took the oath to protect the lore master Kodri. When the dwarf died, Nalim presented himself to the council for judgement. Because of 'chaotic' circumstances, Nalim couldn't have even physically been there to save him, but the shame was still all to real.
Thorin Bjarson, the head priest of Grungni, with the other priests, decided on what was to be done with Nalim. He was appointed to clear the hold of every single skaven that infested it or die trying. Not only that, but he would not be allowed into the hold, or onto the surface, until that task was done. To that end Nalim now resides at the Stromez Ruf and he can be constantly seen going down into Vongal Ungor and beyond hunting the Skaven. It is said that hundred have died to his hammer, though the exact count is unknown.
Nalim is a sullen dwarf with a haunted look on his face. He never speaks unless he has to and when he does it is brief. He no longer wears his gromril armour or has his gromril great hammer, but instead he wears bloodstained plate armor. His mere presence has been enough to rout smaller skaven scouting parties.
