Standing in the center of the hill and easily the largest building in town, Caldath's palace is a testament to the dwarves' mastery of engineering. A full five stories tall, made entirely of marble and encrusted with vines of all sorts the palace is truely a sight to behold, and indeed it can be seen from almost anywhere in Yetzinburg. With the excpetion of the structure itself the castle no longer bears any recognisable signs of dwarven work, as Caldath had a hand full of architects imported directly from Ulthuan to aid in the 'redecoration'. The castle has five towers, the first four being equal in size and situated at each corner of the palace, upon which can be found turret mounted trebuchets and many arrow slits incase of a siege, the fifth and by far largest tower rises from the center of the castle and contains the prince's chambers as well as those of his children along with his trophy room, a massive library containing everything from books of magical knowledge to fairy tales. On the top of the tower is a massive floating orb which glows with the raw power of Life Magic, and is said to allows the prince to control the weather in the region, which would certainly explain why Yetzinburg has yet to suffer a bad season of farming or a single famine.
In the entrance of the palace grounds stands a statue made entirely out of pure silver in omage to the dwarf Garin Stoneshaper who lead the initial construction of Yetzinburg so that he may for ever be remembered, situated next to the statue is a simple obsidian momument which serves as the gravestone of the Alfonce and Annita Vanderbroff the lasts counts of Mesembria. The rest of the palace grounds is composed entirely of lush gardens and stone walk ways leading to the various villas and royal guard posts scattered about the grounds.
Even being allowed on to the palace grounds is considered a sign of great prestige and favor amongst the people of Yetzinburg and nobles are constantly vying for the prince's attention. Unfortunatly for them the prince has become so far removed from the 'real' world in past century that he rarely sees any one but his family and favored retainers, serving to further his larger than life reputation, indeed one must be truely important or have accomplished a feat of legendary proportions to be noticed by Caldath.
How ever it is worth noting that there is an exception to this reclusive behaviour, every year on the day which Yetzinburg was formaly founded the prince throws a massive banquet, to which 100 randomly selected people are allowed to attend, along with a representative from Kazad Dawr and the Fey Woods, whom oddly enough are always seated opposite to each other as Caldath tends to forget about trivial things such as the animosity between the two races.
