"Nagrund-Uzkul, the dead waste" Nagrund-Uzkul was once the site of Mingol Nagruk, the southernmost watchtower of Kazad Dawr (it's sister tower is Mingol Brandok in the north). However around one hundred years ago, a necromancer took abode in the tower and began his wicked experiments into the dark lores of necromancy. Soon enough, his dark arts drew the attention of the dwarfs of Kazad Dawr, who understandibly would not endure such blasphemy on his doorstep. Soon a dwarf expedition was sent to eradicate the threat, and although some fine dwarfs met their doom at the hands of undead beasts, the Necromancer ultimatly met his doom by the axe of the great slayer Thorin Thogrison. The necromancer paid in blood for his folly, but even in his last breath he cast a mighty spell, blasting the life out of all animals and plants within a massive radius. Trees became dead husks, and birds fell dead as the flew at the vile sorcery. Though the main threat of the necromancer was dealt with, the land was permanantly scared by his evil deeds. The tree's that grey back in the wake of his spell were warped and bare, and most animals dare not wander into this unatural place. An erie fog often covers this area, especially around the large bogs, fens and strigoes that formed from the sudden introduction of masses of decaying matter covering the floor. In the centre of Nagrund-Uzkul, the chared and half ruined remains of Mingol Brandok can still be seen, the ruins a testiment to dwarven tennacity, and a reminder of the fall of the necromancer. This tainted place can be fatal to an unweary traveler, and it is rumoured that these days this is not only due to the abundance of quick mud in the pete bogs...
What can be fought in this area? Dust Goblins, Skeleton warriors, Ghouls, and Dire wolves are rumoured to stalk Nagrund Uzkul...

Zak Gromthi: The travelers respite Towards the south east, in forested area of the wilderness, is the old stone chalet at Zak Gromthi. Invisible to the naked eye, Zak Gromthi's stone doors only become obvious when a dwarf says the password, "Cleg loves gold". It is rumoured that the ancient dwarf miner Cleg Orcdoom founded the chalet as a quick way to get his wares onto the road to manling salesments. The chalet has a main hall with wooden chairs a central log fire and a small food store. In addtion it has to bedrooms and a secret trap door to the cellar. In the cellar there is a stairway and an old steam powered lift to haul mining equipment, or gold gems ect to the surface, which also can be used in reverse to lower food, equipment or even miners too lazy to use the stairs. However, in the many years the old stairway has become increasingly dangerous, infested with night goblins, skaven, and even the occasional gargantuan cave spider. Legends tell of when Gotrek Sizlack and Kadrik Spangelhelm succesfully navigated "Ekrund Gromdal" which is the real name for the stairway. The stairway decends into the lower mines into an area that where once known as the "Caverns of Cleg". Once these caverns were a thriving mining mining community, untill a succesion of skaven and goblin raids forced the dwarfs to abandon their post.
What can I fight in this area? Small bands of skaven or night goblins, and cave squigs aswell as giant spiders can be found aswell.

"The forest and plains" Around the mountain in which the hold is situated, there is a vast expanse of old forests, corries and crags. In between the forested areas, there are windswept plains and barren hills. This area is anywhere from the borders of Yetzinurg in the south west to Grey Crag in the far north east.
What can be fought in this area? Hill goblins, lesser goblins, Snotlings, goblin wolf riders, orcs are present, but in very small numbers. Human or even other race bandits sometimes hide in the woods or wilderness.
