Bar-Wuthroth(oakengate)
The new gates of Kazad Dawr stand the same height of twelve feet. Though the height is the same, the new designed gates are made with a combination of ancient mountain oak, and well cut proudstone granite. Inscribed on them are potent runes of protection to ward against magical and physical attacks. The gates can only be opened from the insides, via a system of gears designed by the engineer's guild. The main gates have yet to be opened, but there is a smaller secret door which is guarded by the gate keeper. This is often opened, and when it is locked, it can be opened when the Gate keeper taps the correct way on the door.

The Unds Dawr (Towers of the hold)
After the first great seige, architects of Kazad Dawr vowed, that never again would a foe so easily reach the hold, no besieging army would be able to beat upon Bar-Wuthroth without being bombarded by dwarven steel. So it began, the building of the Unds
Dawr. The dwarf city of Kazad-Dawr was now to have a series of defences built into its outer face. Firstly, above the gates was erected a large flat rampart, along which, the hold's Thunderers and Crossbowmen could
shoot at the enemy from an elevated and defended possition. Also, there were two gun emplacements, each of wich were armed with a strurdy dwarf cannon, which could be wheeled out of the keep in times of need.

The second thing that was built, was the Unds.
Und, is the dwarfen name for a tower hewn from the rock of a mountain, a citadel built onto the mountain side. These could be garrisoned with troops to shoot at the enemy, and served as watch towers so that the hold could see the enemy coming with time for warning.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Two of the citadel's, where set into the gate house. They were on either side of the rampart, and were the shortest of the Unds. They rose twenty feet above rampart, which was around fifteen feet tall. Their names where Und-Baragir and Und-Zornir
Further up the mountain, carved into its sheer face is
Und-Karlaz, this watch tower is carved into the southern
side of the mountain. It is inaccesable from the outside, and the dwarfs who are stationed there can only access it by use of a long ladder which begins in the Bazaar. It is fourty feet tall and rises from the mountain side. Because of the long journey up the ladder, the tower guards stay in special quarters which allow them to stay up there for longer.
On the Northern face, Und-Garalaf is further up the mountain than Und-Karlaz, it is the same height, and design as Und-Karlaz.
The final Und, is the greatest. The great tower of Und-Garagrom is the highest of all, standing fourty five feet high, and set at the highest peak of the mountain. This tower is totaly inaccessable from the outside, and gives a perfect veiw of the whole area around the hold.
